- This 2-hour free continuing education on cultural competency training is one of a series that covers introductory information about the essential concepts and practices to promote cultural competence in substance use prevention and treatment. Participants will explore an introduction to the importance of cultural competence, develop self-awareness, and learn to recognize and address biases, stereotypes, and assumptions.
Culturally Responsive Assessment and Treatment Planning (2 hours)

- Collaborating with participants to ensure cultural relevance in their recovery process.
Here is how the presentations are structured:
- Watch a video. The length of each video varies, but you are encouraged to watch it in one session. If you exit the video before watching it all the way through, the next time you sign, you’ll be brought back to the beginning and have to watch the entire video again.
- View the Resource. Each presentation includes a Resource, wish is a series of slides shown during the video. You can review the slides by pressing the Resource
- Take the Knowledge Check. Each presentation concludes with a series of questions to assess your understanding of the videos content. You must pass the Knowledge Check to obtain your Completion Certificate and CEUs. If you fail, press the Retry button to retake the Knowledge Check. You can Retry as many times as needed until you pass.
