About MCB

The Minnesota Certification Board Inc. (MCB) is a 501(c)(3) private non-profit organization that sets the policies and procedures for alcohol and other drug professional certifications in Minnesota and is the International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC) Member Board for Minnesota.

IC&RC is the global leader in the credentialing of prevention, addiction treatment, and recovery professionals. Organized in 1981, it provides standards and examinations to certification and licensing boards in 25 countries, 47 states and territories, five Native American regions, and all branches of the U.S. military.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide a diverse pool of credentialed Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse (AODA) professionals to meet the specific needs of the citizens of the State of Minnesota.
