The Minnesota Certification Board (MCB) is a non-profit agency dedicated to protecting the citizens of Minnesota by ensuring that certified professionals working in a wide range of professions are providing safe and competent services to the public. The MCB is a member board of the International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC).
The Minnesota Certification Board (MCB) is pleased to announce a new free standing Peer Specialist resource website called the Minnesota Peer Resource Hub. The new Peer Specialist website was created to provide information and resources to support and promote workforce development in the service areas across Minnesota. The website was developed through a Department of Human Services funded grant. The website provides information that may be helpful to those interested in becoming a peer or for those entering the peer specialist workforce, or for those already providing peer services. The website includes community events, career opportunities and pathways, education, and training offerings among other informative topics. The Board of Directors for the Minnesota Certification Board is seeking individuals to serve on its board by appointment for the 2024 year. Our mission is to provide a diverse pool of credentialed Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse (AODA) professionals to meet the specific needs of the citizens of the State of Minnesota. As a board member you would regularly attend board meetings, participate on the board and subcommittees, and stay informed about matters concerning the board and its subcommittees. We are seeking member who are 18 y.o. or older, reside in Minnesota, have leadership knowledge and/or experience with nonprofit organizations, and active in Minnesota communities.
