International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC)

The Minnesota Certification Board, Inc., located near the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul,  is proud to be the member board in Minnesota for the IC&RC. The IC&RC is a not-for-profit voluntary organization comprised of certifying agencies involved in credentialing or licensing alcohol and other drug counselors, clinical supervisors, prevention specialists, co-occurring disorders professional and criminal justice professionals.

The Minnesota Certification Board, Inc. is proud to be the member board in Minnesota for the IC&RC. The IC&RC is a not-for-profit voluntary organization comprised of certifying agencies involved in credentialing or licensing alcohol and other drug counselors, clinical supervisors, prevention specialists, co-occurring disorders professional and criminal justice professionals.

The IC&RC and its member boards are committed to public protection through the establishment of quality, competency-based certification programs for professional engaged in the prevention and treatment of addictions and related problems.

The IC&RC also promotes the establishment and recognition of minimum standards to provide reciprocity for certified professional.  Individuals who hold IC&RC certifications are able to transfer their credential to any of the IC&RC’s 76 member organizations.

The following MCB certifications are recognized by the IC&RC for reciprocity:

  • Alcohol & Drug Counselor Reciprocal-MN (ADCR-MN)
  • Certified Criminal Justice Professional Reciprocal (CCJPR)
  • Certified Counselor Supervisor Reciprocal (CCSR)
  • Certified Prevention Professional Reciprocal (CPPR)
  • Certified Co-Occurring Disorders Professional (CCDP)
  • Certified Co-Occurring Disorders Professional Diplomate (CCDR-D)
