The Minnesota Certification Board (MCB)
The Minnesota Certification Board (MCB) is the state's premier non-profit agency for protecting the citizens of Minnesota by ensuring that Certified Professionals working in a wide range of professions are providing safe and competent services to the public.

The MCB administers certification programs for chemical dependency counselors, addictions, co-occurring disorders, prevention, clinical supervision, criminal justice and continues to add new professions.

The MCB administers the IC&RC (International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium) exams for all certifications that have an examination requirement. This includes the IC&RC exam for alcohol and drug counselor exam that is accepted by the Behavior Board of Health and Therapy (BBHT) to be used in meeting the Minnesota states testing requirement for the LADC license.

The MCB is also on of the testing locations for Schroeder Measurement Technology (SMT).
